This monthly update is a little different. This is a rundown on what we're reading, watching and listening to, to keep our minds and bodies healthy and moving. We'll share some more resources as we come across them.
Tips on Self-Isolating from an astronaut by Scott Kelly - Scott Kelly literally couldn't go outside. Because he lived in the International Space Station, orbiting the earth for almost a year. Here he shares some tips from somebody who woke up at work and lived there, every day.
Frozen 2 - Kids or no kids, the two part saga that is Frozen and Frozen 2 is an epic tale with lessons and sing-a-longs abound. Disney have released it early on lots of streaming sites, Apple Store, PS4, (Sky also have it in Ireland & the UK). Lean into it, go on!
Mythic Quest: Ravens Banquet - This one is exclusive to Apple TV+ but they have some deals on at the moment on top of their standard 'first week is free' offer. This comes from Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Megan Ganz, formally of The Onion and also involved in Sunny as well as Community. On paper, this is a serious line up of creatives and thankfully, in reality it all checks out too. Enjoy.
Headspace and Calm - Both apps are offering free tips and techniques to keep a level head around everything that's going on at the moment. Check them out and make use of their free section. Both are available on Android and iPhone.
Donal Skehan - Irish chef living in L.A., Donal is on lockdown in California at the moment and is sharing lots of recipes to get you through your day (and your pantry) on his Instagram and Facebook profiles. As well as already having an endless resource of recipes on his YouTube channel and website.
The Body Coach - Joe Wicks, aka The Body Coach, is doing Physical Education class for kids at 9am (GMT) Monday to Friday, on his YouTube channel.
Board Games - This article from NY Mag shares some great board-games for playing with your house-mate or your partner if you're not a big TV person, or you're just looking for a break from the screens.
Bedtime Stories - Josh Gad (the voice of Olaf in Frozen) is reading bedtime stories live on his Twitter page every night. For you or any little ones you may know!
Virtual Visit - Lots of zoos have webcams on certain animals so make sure to check out your local zoo too! Here are a few links to some of our favourites:
