August Watch List

A monthly update on what we're reading, watching and listening to, when we're not making soap that is.

READ

Gumption by Nick Offerman - The full name, Gumption: Relighting the Torch of Freedom with America's Gutsiest Troublemakers. Gumption and freedom are wonderful things. And Nick Offerman is a worthy wordsmith on the subject.

WATCH

The Righteous Gemstones - The genius that is writer, actor and director Danny McBride has teamed up with the formidable John Goodman, Adam DeVine, Edi Patterson and Walton Goggins for his latest project. Available on HBO and it's various international subsidiaries. McBride's talents know no bounds.

Fosse/Verdon - Hands up, I haven't watched this one yet but I have read so many great reviews. I also admit that I will watch anything and everything with Sam Rockwell in it.

LISTEN

Easter is Cancelled by The Darkness - As of today, they have released 2 songs from their forthcoming album, set for release in October. The songs are all things The Darkness and it's so good to have them back.

Making Sense with Sam Harris - In this particular episode, Sam Harris interviews Ricky Gervais. Gervais is just off the back of his hugely successful Netlix show, After Life and no topic is off the table at this discussion.
