June Watch List
A monthly update on what we're reading, watching and listening to, when we're not making soap that is.
READ
Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman - With the summertime in full swing it can be nice to pick up an easy-read, fiction book. This is both an easy read and a compelling story.
I'm Having No Head by D.E. Harding - A discussion on meditation and mindfulness. Imagining yourself with no head and the selflessness that would come with that. A tough but worthy read / listen (also available on audio book).
WATCH
What We Do in The Shadows - Based on the cult classic movie of the same name and spawning from the genius mind that is Taika Waititi. The story follows some old-fashioned vampires through their daily lives. It's hilarious and season 1 is on Netflix.
Side note: The opening song is beautiful, it's called You're Dead by Norma Tanega.
The Expanse - With 3 amazing seasons of sci-fi ready and waiting, The Expanse was just picked up by Amazon Prime and renewed for a further 2 seasons. Season 4 is set for release in December 2019 so you've plenty of time to catch up. This one needs (dare, I say deserves) a couple of watches.
LISTEN
Shaken by a Low Sound by Crooked Still - A collection of bluegrass covers by Crooked Still, perfect for listening to while ambling through the fields.
Lo-Fi Beats - This is actually a playlist by Spotify and we're loving it. Especially good on a Monday morning.
